Ransomware malware threat!

The current outbreak of the Ransomware “WannaCrypt” (AKA “WannaCry”) is a major concern to us here at Vermont Panurgy and I am sure to you as well. The immediate step you should take, to prevent an outbreak, is to ensure that you have the patch, provided by Microsoft, installed. This patch is available via Windows Update to all currently Microsoft supported Operating Systems.  If you have Automatic Updates turned on and configured to install updates you should already be protected.  If you manually run Windows Updates, you should do so immediately and reboot your systems. Microsoft has also

Welcome new employee Brian!

Vermont Panurgy offers a warm welcome to our newest team member, Brian Wheel. Brian joins us as a Network Engineer responsible for providing network system design assistance, hardware installation, technical support and problem remediation for our customers via phone support, remote technologies and onsite visits. Brian was most recently with the University of Vermont Medical Center where, as a Systems Engineer Staff Senior, he was responsible for bringing monitoring to all applications and systems in the UVMC environment.
