A+ Certification: Boot Camp

This course provides comprehensive training for students who already have some existing knowledge of, and support experience with, networked desktop and notebook computers running Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. This course will prepare students, at an accelerated pace, for the two exams that make up the A+ certification 2009 Edition: CompTIA A+ Essentials and CompTIA A+ Practical Application. Students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the following tasks on personal computer hardware and operating systems: installation, PC building, system upgrades, repair, system configuration, troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and preventative maintenance. Course manual comes with CertBlaster exam prep software (download).

The target student is anyone with basic computer user skills who is interested in obtaining a job as an IT professional or PC technician. In addition, this course will prepare students for the two exams that make up the A+ certification 2009 Edition: CompTIA A+ Essentials and CompTIA A+ Practical Application.

This comprehensive course is taught at an accelerated pace. In order to have a successful learning experience, students should have existing knowledge of, and support experience with, networked desktop and notebook computers, as well as advanced user-level skills in Windows Vista, Windows XP, or Windows 2000 Professional.
